I attained the rank of Specialist 4th class. I served from July, 1960 to July 1963. I was a Communications Cryptographic Specialist. I spent time overseas as part of a NATO Redeployment Unit.

I attained the rank of Yeoman, E-4. I served in the U.S. Naval Reserves from January 1963 to January 1969. I was on active duty from 1963 to 1965 and stationed primarily in a mine sweeping squadron based in Charleston, South Carolina.
